Approved Suppliers’ Directory
In support of the international procurement activities for members of the PEMEX Group, we locate and/or register in our Approved Suppliers’ Directory potential qualified suppliers and products not produced in Mexico, such as oil well drilling and production equipment, marine equipment, engines, turbines, compressors, and chemical products, as well as the related in-situ services and spare parts for the aforementioned products, to name a few.
The Approved Suppliers’ Directory represents a unique source of information for PEMEX buyers that has been carefully researched and evaluated. They can be confident that all suppliers found in the Directory are a viable source for the product or service that they are seeking – both for upstream and downstream operations. Buyers can locate suppliers by their name, brand name, and type of product offered.
Before suppliers can be registered, they must go through a stringent set of screening criteria to meet the minimum legal, administrative, technical and financial requirements. Our intention is to establish solid commercial relationships with suppliers, preferably dealing with the most reliable of suppliers capable of providing the best options in terms of QUALITY, PRICE, DELIVERY TIMES and SERVICE. These companies must also have had at least one year of operation prior to requesting registration.
Suppliers can request registration in the Approved Suppliers’ Directory by sending their request to email@example.com, with the following information:
- Legal name and address of the company to be registered
- Copy of company’s “Articles of Incorporation”
- Name, e-mail address and phone number of the sales contact
- Website of the company where further information can be obtained
- Audited financial statement for the previous calendar year or past 12 months, whichever applies.
All information provided by a supplier that is deemed to be confidential is treated with utmost confidentiality, and is not by any means divulged or in any way released except in those cases required by law, or unless PPI has obtained prior written consent from the supplier to do so.
PPI considers that the use of a rating system that keeps the suppliers informed of their performance in the PEMEX procurement process contributes to establishing a cooperative business relationship and helps them to identify and improve deficient areas, which in turn will benefit all parties.
Every four months, each supplier who has participated in any procurement activities with PEMEX is evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Best price
- On-Time Delivery (compliance with delivery time)
- Quality (measures successful inspections against rejections, and includes claims submitted by the customers)
- Customer Service (responsiveness and correctness of information)
Each of these criteria is assigned a weight, which combined can produce a maximum possible score of 100%. Suppliers with a score of 80% or above qualify for consideration in bids and other purchasing processes that PEMEX and its subsidiaries carry out through the services provided by PPI.
